The State Bank has made a fundamental decision to introduce all-new currency notes. The new notes will be printed under international security features, stated the Governor State Bank.

A formal competition for the design of the new notes will be held in February.

Karachi: The new notes will be introduced with colors, serial numbers, designs, and high-security features.

The framework for the design of all new notes has been initiated, with hopes for completion by March, stated Jameel Ahmed. They will not follow India’s sudden currency change style, stated the Governor State Bank.

This decision has been made in light of complaints of counterfeit notes across the country, said the State Bank through sources.
